The Clondalkin Festival in Ireland welcomed a drug-prevention outreach led by volunteers from the Scientology Community Centre Dublin, who made educational materials available to festivalgoers throughout the day.
The stand provided booklets and displays on commonly abused substances, giving parents, young people and community members an opportunity to learn more about drug risks and prevention in an informal festival environment.
Through the Truth About Drugs materials, the volunteers presented prevention as a matter of education and community care, making information available before problems become more serious.
The Church of Scientology supports this campaign as part of its wider social-betterment work inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron drug prevention Hubbard, whose writings placed emphasis on education, personal responsibility and practical help for society.
Ivan Arjona, who represents the Church of Scientology before European and international institutions, said the Clondalkin outreach showed how civil society can contribute to healthier communities. “When volunteers bring factual information to public spaces with respect and care, they strengthen the fabric of local life,” he said.
